"Artenia Duo transcends borders, creating intense moments of musical unity"

Our Story

Artenia Duo is an electrifying chamber music ensemble featuring the exceptional talents of Evgenia Feizo on violin and Luis Arturo Romero Estrada on piano.

The genesis of Artenia Duo occurred in the city of Appingedam, where Evgenia, hailing from Greece with Albanian roots, and Luis, with his vibrant Mexican heritage, discovered a shared zeal for merging classical virtuosity with folkloric charm.

Artenia Duo is a fusion of two artistic souls, creating an enchanting and unforgettable musical experience.

Evgenia Feizo

The Greek/Albanian violinist Evgenia Feizo started playing violin at the age of 6. Having a diploma with honors from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki in the class of Georgios Demertzis, she continued her Bachelor and Master studies at Musikhochschule Lübeck in the class of Carlos Johnson. Mentor in her later musical development to this day is Jörg Fassmann, concertmaster of the Staatskappele Dresden.

She was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra for 5 years. Since then she frequently collaborates with major professional orchestras such as Hamburg Symphoniker, Gustav Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Hamburg Camerata, Kiel Philharmonic, Lübeck Philharmonic etc.

In addition to her orchestral activities, she has extensive chamber music experience with various ensembles and has performed numerous concerts in Germany and Greece.

She is a member of the ‘Amarone String Trio’ and cofounder of the ‘erilis Trio’ for violin, soprano and piano and ‘Artenia Duo’ for violin and piano.

She regularly plays as a concertmaster and soloist with the ‘Mozart Concertisten’ chamber Orchestra Ensemble in Germany, and as a guest at the quartet of the ‘Hamburg Stage Ensemble’.

“Chamber music is a form of expression, creation, and development. The musical dialogue between the instruments in the magical moment of the concert will always reward the endless hours of practice, rehearsal, and tiredness more than enough.”

Luis Romero
